OUT OF THE HOUSE OF BONDAGE
Exodus 20:2
I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
(1) Out of the house of bondage
(2) Satan tries to keep us in the house of bondage
(a) Bondage to sin = out of the house
(b) Bondage to sickness = out of the house
(c) Out of the house of bondage we go because of the Lord
(3) John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
(a) Out of the house of bondage into the house of freedom
(b) I am free – I am free – I am free – the Son has made me free
(c) At one time we all lived in the house of bondage
(d) But one day Jesus unlock the house of bondage and move us into the house of freedom
(4) In the house of bondage satan has power over us, in the house of freedom we have power over satan
(a) Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
(b) Out of the house of bondage – Into the house of freedom – The house of power
(c) How much power? Power over all the power of the enemy
(5) John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
(a) The thief is the devil – the thief is in control of the house of bondage
(b) To steal – in the house of bondage
(c) To kill – in the house of bondage
(d) To destroy – in the house of bondage
(e) Have life – moved into the house of freedom
(f) Have life more abundantly – moved into the house freedom
(g) Are you ready to move out of the house of bondage into the house of freedom
(6) Luke 13:11-12
And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
[12] And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
(a) Spirit of infirmity eighteen years – she had lived in the house of bondage for eighteen years
(b) She is about to make a move into the house of freedom
(c) Woman you are loosed from your infirmity
(d) Woman you are moving out of the house bondage today – you are moving into the house of freedom
(e) Some here today need to make move – out of the house of bondage into the house of freedom
(f) Satan has many bondages – many strong bondages – but none stronger than the power of the Lord
(7) Luke 13:16
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
(a) Bound by satan
(b) Understand if you are in the house of bondage it is a house of satan
(c) It doesn’t matter how strong the door is on the house of bondage – if you want the Lord to move you into the house of freedom
(d) He will kick the door down and come right in and get you out of the house of bondage
(e) All that Jesus is waiting on is for you to cry out for help
(8) Peter cry out for help
(a) Matthew 14:30-31
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
[31] And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
(b) Sometimes we can be walking in the house of freedom – and satan will try to get us to move into the house of bondage
(c) This is what happen to Peter – as long as Peter was walking on the word of the Lord – which is walking in the house of freedom – He was able to walk on water
(d) But instead of staying focus on the word – he return to sight – the bondage of sight – returning to the house of bondage – now he begins to sink
(e) But he cried out Lord save me – immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught Peter
(f) We see Peter sinking into the house of bondage – we see Jesus grabbing and putting back in the house of freedom
(9) 2 Cor. 3:17
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
(a) In satan’s house is bondage – no liberty
(b) In Jesus’ house is freedom – no bondage
(10) John 11:43-44
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
[44] And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
(a) Lazarus – come forth – Lazarus come out of the house of bondage
(b) Lazarus came out – but he still had some bondage left his grave clothes
(c) Understand that most of the work will be done by the Lord – but sometimes he will ask us to help get someone out of the grave clothes
(d) This is your day to come out of the house of bondage – will you come into the house of freedom
