TRANSFERRED

(1) Transfer means taking something from one place or person to another place or person.

(2) In the case of the sinner and Christ, He transferred our bad for his good.

(3) This word is only used in the Bible once
1 Cor. 4:6
And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

(4) We are going to look more at what this word does, rather than look at where it is use in the Bible.

SIN AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

(1) Romans 3:23
   For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

(2) Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

(3) Here we see that the sinner’s righteousnesses is unclean, filthy

(4) Now watch what God does with our sins

(5) Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

(6) Isaiah 53:6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

(6) In verse 5 we see Jesus paying for our sins, in verse 6 we see our sins being transferred to Jesus Christ.

(7) Now it does not stop here as our sins have transferred to our Lord, there is something that has been transferred to us

(8) 2 Cor. 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

(9) We see transferred going two ways, our sins transfer to Jesus Christ, and God’s righteousness transferred to us

(10) So we see as children of God we are to have the righteousness of God, and not that of filthy rags

(11) Righteousness has been transferred to us by the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(12) Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

(13) According to this verse there are three things that the Lord paid for I believe that they are in the order of importance
    1. Our sins – our sins were transferred to Him, and God’s righteousness was transferred to us
    2. Our peace – our turmoil, our disorder was transferred to Him, and His peace was transferred to us
    3. Our healing – our sickness was transferred to Him, and healing was transferred to us

(14) All of these blessings are attainable by faith

(15) Matthew 9:29
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

(16) Lets don’t forget the first verse of Isaiah 53:1
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

(17) We have cover our sins and our righteouness

OUR PEACE

(1) Is you life in a turmoil everyway you turn it seems that everything is against you

(2) The storms of life come God never said that you wouldn’t have them

(3) Matter of fact He said this in
    1. John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
    2. 2 Tim. 3:12
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

(4) There are different ways to take care of a storm

(5) One way, is to calm the storm

(6) Mark 4:39
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

(7) Another way is to deliver us in the storm

(8) Matthew 14:30-31
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
[31] And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

(9) The most mature way – is when the Lord calms us in the storm – peace in our souls

(10) John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

(11) John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

(12) Peace is transferred to us, and not just any peace His peace is given to us

(13) How I wish we could have this peace all of the time, I also know that is what the Lord wants for us

(14) Has there been times in your life when you should not have had peace, but there it was a work that God had did in you, and you knew everything was going to be alright

(15) Peace was transferred to you

(16) Peace is the second most important work that Jesus paid for

OUR HEALING

(1) Matthew 8:17
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

(2) We see from this verse he bare our sickness, how did He get them they were transferred to Him, and then and even now He is transferring healing to us

(3) Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

(4) Let us look at the verse before Matthew 8:17

(5) Matthew 8:16
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

WEAKNESS AND POWER

(1) Matthew 8:17
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

(2) He took our infirmities – our infirmities [weakness] was transferred to Him

(3) John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

(4) He transfers power

(5) He transfers ability and strength
(a) Philip. 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

(6) He transfers our need
(a) Philip. 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

(7) And today He wants to transfer you a blessing
