REACHING FORTH

AND

PRESS TOWARD

Philip. 3:13-14

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

[14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

In 2006 the Lord spoke to me and said for me not to focus on

What could have been

And don’t focus what should have been

But focus on what can be

A title of a book caught my eye it read

The windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror

So I got to thinking, what could have been, or what should have been, is like looking in the rearview mirror

But looking through the windshield, is looking on what can be

So reaching forth is being focus on what can be

Press toward is being focus on what can be

As pastor of this wonderful Church

I am going to reach forth and press toward

That which God has for me

I am reaching forth on what can be

I am pressing towards

On what can be

I am asking you that are a member or that regular attend

To reach forth and press towards that which can be

REACHING FORTH

Lost souls

Proverbs 11:30

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Winning souls is reaching forth to what can be

Working the harvest

Matthew 9:37-38

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

[38] Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Working the harvest is pressing towards that which can be

Labourers are few in the harvest because the harvest is effort it is reaching into a community it is pressing into a community

In 2007 I want us to focus more in the Church as the Church being a body

How to make the body grow

How to make the body strong

I want us to really become what Jesus prayed

John 17:21

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

We have a new program we purchased in we are going to be bringing before you

This year I want to see us working like the one body Jesus intended for us to be

Reaching forth together on what can be

Pressing towards that which can be

Let us reach forth and press towards

Reading and study the Word of God

Prayer

Having faith in the Word of God

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

What can be

We can see people get born again

We can see people get healed

We can worshiped

We can see prayer answer

Yes in 2007 we are going forward for the Lord Jesus Christ

We are going to reach forth and press towards this verse

John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

We are going to reach forth to life

We are going to press toward life more abundantly

Yes this is what can be life and life more abundantly

Because this is what Jesus said he came for

Matthew 6:20-21

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

[21] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

As we work as a body I want to make sure we are laying up treasure in Heaven

As we reach forth and press toward what can be

We are focus on what we can be

And what can be is we can lay treasures in Heaven
