But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

HOW TO RECIEVE
WHAT JESUS PAID FOR

(1) Isaiah 53:5a
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:

(a) JESUS PAID FOR OUR SINS

WHAT WE MUST DO TO RECIEVE
WHAT JESUS PAID FOR

REPENTANCE

(1) Matthew 3:2
And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

(2) Matthew 3:8
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

(3) Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

(a) Repentance is one of the main themes of the Bible, being found 110 times from Genesis 6:6 to Rev. 16:11.

(b) Repentance is mandatory if fellowship with God is to be enjoyed.
(c) Amp. Matt. 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, crying out, Repent
( change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

(d) Repentance.
Both John and Jesus called on people to “repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near” ( Matt. 3:2 ; 4:17 ). “Repent” (in Greek, metanoia ) means to change one’s mind and attitude. It is a decision which changes the total direction of one’s life.20

(4) James 4:7-10
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
(a) Submit : If there is any area of the life keep back from God, there will always be battles
(b) Submission is an act of the will; it is saying, " not my will but yours be done
[8] Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
(a) God draws near to us when we deal with the sin in our lives that keep Him at a distance
(a) [Cleanse your hands] Cleansing the hands was a symbol of innocence and purity
(b) [purify] Greek:  hagnizo (GSN-48), to make pure (James 4:8; John 11:55; Acts 21:24,26; Acts 24:18; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 3:3).  Here it means to separate from the world and consecrate to God, renouncing all sin.
[9] Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
[10] Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

(5) Acts 3:19
   Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

(a) Converted - means to turn

(b) Have you ever pray for God to deliver from some kind of sin

(c) But do you know what God says about, God does not say I will deliver you from sin

(d) God says repent; God says be converted

(e) When we repent, truly repent we will be, deliver

(f) Repentance is your deliverance

(h) When we are converted; when we really turn from our ways we will be deliver

(6) John 8:31-32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; [32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
[13] And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

(8) Luke 13:1-5
There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
[2] And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
[3] I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
[4] Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
[5] I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

(9) Luke 16:30-31
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
[31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

(10) Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

(11) We have look at repentance from the world, now let's look at the Church

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

[22] Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

(16) Rev. 3:3
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

(17) Rev. 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

II. CONFESSION

(1) 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

(2) Matthew 10:32
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

(3) John 9:22
These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

(4) Acts 24:14
But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

(5) Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

(8) 1 John 4:15
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

(9) Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

III. WALK IN THE LIGHT

(1) 1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

(2) John 8:31
   Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

(3) 1 John 2:3
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

(4) 1 John 2:4

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
