FIGHTING THE RIGHT FIGHT (2)

1 Tim. 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

(1) Isaiah 53:1
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

(2) Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

(3) So the fight is to maintain faith in what God has said, what God has spoken

(4) As we maintain what God has said, what God has spoken, God shall do it, God shall make it good

(5) So God is going to do His word

(6) God is going to make His word good

(7) God always has, and always will

(8) Jeremiah 1:12
Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

(9) shaqad, Hebrew 8245, Strong’s
shaqad, shaw-kad'; a primitive root; to be alert, i.e. sleepless; hence to be on the lookout (whether for good or ill) :- hasten, remain, wake, watch (for).
(a) God is alert when it comes to His word
(b) God is sleepless when it comes to His Word
(c) God is on the lookout when it comes to His Word

WHERE DOES GOD LOOK FOR HIS WORD

(1) Mark 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

(2) Romans 10:8-10
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(3) So we find here in Mark 11:23, and in Romans 10:8-10;
God looks for His Word in our mouth and in our heart

(4) As we fight the good fight of faith; we are fighting to say what God has said, and we are fighting to keep the Word of God in our hearts

(5) So the fight of faith is to think like God thinks, and to act like God acts

(6) Isaiah 55:8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
[9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

(7) The Word of God is given so that we might learn God’s thoughts, and God’s ways

WHAT HAS GOD SAID

(1) Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

(2) As the Word goes forth from our mouth, and our heart; it returns to God, and when it returns it does not return void

(3) So when the word of God returns to God what happens

(4) It accomplishes what God pleases

(5) Now get what I am about to tell you; what God pleases is what God has said

(6) God’s Word pleases Him; when God’s servant’s speak the Word of God, and believe in their heart what God has said, and what they have said, that God has said

(7) It accomplishes what it was sent out to do

(8) Mark 11:22-24
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
(a) Believe God’s report
(b) The Bible is God’s report

[23] For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
(a) We need speaking faith; sometimes we might have to fight
the fight of faith just to speak what God has said
(b) We might have to fight to keep God’s word alive in our heart
[24] Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
(a) In verse 24 we see, Jesus teaching us on how to receive from God; when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
(b) Now notice when we pray Jesus teaches us to believe that we have receive what we ask for
(c) Jesus tells you to believe that you have receive when you pray, and when you have prayed and believed that you have already receive, guess what happens
(d) According to the Word of God you now have the thing that you prayed for
(e) This one little verse says so much, and as so many disagree on its meaning I for one believes it means what it says
(f) I believe when one prays and believes that they have receive it is called faith, it is believing the report
(g) Now when one has the thing that they have prayed for it is called fact, it is seeing God’s word accomplished

(9) Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

(10) It is time to let God be true, it is time to fight the good fight of faith
