TO UNDO WHAT SATAN HAS DONE
(Part 1)

(1) 1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

(a) Manifested – to make visible, clear, manifest, know – to reveal

(b) [destroy] Greek: luo (GSN-3089), to undo; loosen; release; set free; do away with

(c) Committeth Sin = He who does what is sinful is of the devil . Both does and has been sinning point to the habitual practice. John is writing about the habitual trend of the life.

(2) Jesus came to undo what Satan has done

SIN

(1) Matthew 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

(a) We see in the above verse Jesus came to save people from their sins, not in their sins, from their sins

(b) Jesus came to undo us from sins
(2) John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

(a) [sin] Greek: hamartia (GSN-266), missing the mark; always in a moral sense—a sin, whether by omission or commission, in thought, word, or deed.  Christ came to teach men how to shoot straight—to hit the moral bull's eye every time

(3) 1 John 3:8 (NIV) He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.

(4) 1 John 3:8 (AMP.) [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

SATAN COMES TO

(1) John 10:10

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

(a) So in John 8:44 we find Satan is
A murder
He did not abide in the truth
There is no truth in him
He is a liar

(3) Rev. 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

(a) Satan is the accuser of the children of God

(4) 2 Cor. 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

(a) So in this verse we see that Satan can blind minds

(5) 2 Cor. 2:11
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

(a) So we see from this verse that Satan could get advantage of us

(b) Because of the Word of God, and the Spirit of God, we are not ignorant of Satan devices

(c) So we are not ignorant, so let us not ignorant the Word of God, or the Spirit of God, or ignorant Satan devices

(b) Because if we ignorant Satan will get advantage of us

(6) Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

(a) Satan comes to oppress

(a) Satan comes to devour

(a) Satan has bound some

(10) But glory to God, Jesus came to undo what Satan has done
(11) A young man is looking at a painting, the name of the painting is Checkmate

(12) The painting is Satan and a young man playing chess, Satan has the young man in checkmate, the young man looking at the playing is a very good chess player, he brings a chess broad and sets it up in front of the painting, just the way it is in the painting, he studies it for hours, then he sees one move that will get the young man in the painting out of checkmate

(13) Satan had your soul in checkmate

(14) But you found the one move to get your soul out of checkmate, you found Jesus

(15) Jesus came to undo the checkmate
